This is Miika, aka. Luna, a
non-binary entity residing in the Sauerland in Germany. Pronouns are
hän/hän. I studied computer science (B.Sc.) and currently work as a
software developer, tho I strive to acquire a Masters degree one day. I
like to work on smaller FOSS projects in my spare time - either my own
side-projects, or try to work on established ones and help with a patch.
Very much into open protocols, standards and alike, kind of really like
KISS designed software, especially if its running inside a VT200
terminal emulator or on any Unix-like OS. Originally did tend to like to
write C, because I liked its simplicity, but nowadays prefer Harelang or Rust, even tho I feel Rust can be
nasty when you have older/slower hardware when linking programs
statically, because that doesnt really fit into the unix-like ecosystem
of seperately packaging components. But I still think C is a valid
choice, especially over C++. Through my professional work I also have a
lot of experience on C#. Started with Ubuntu back in 2014, but I
nowadays settled with a mixture of Debian (or rather Devuan) and
FreeBSD. Tho Im still sick of having to use Microsoft’s miserable
software at work.
I am sapphic and prefer relationship anarchy. Vegan since 1/2026.
